Joseph Felix Kwesi Mensah, affectionately called JFK, was born on 19th Sept. 1954. He attended Bishop Herman Secondary School and later, Mfantsipim School. He then pursued a course in Mathematics and Statistics in the University of Ghana, Legon and started pastoral oversight in many towns in the Volta Region and Greater Accra Region. His passion for the youth led to a particularly involved ministry on Legon campus and in second-cycle institutions. He later on furthered his studies with an MA in Missiology from the West African School of Theology, Lome.

He is married to Mrs. Georgina Mensah, an educationist who has worked with the GES Council, a Bible teacher, international conference speaker and co-author. Rev. Mensah and Georgina have been involved with a vibrant joint-ministry for over thirty-five years of married life. They have together authored about thirty books on various subjects pertaining to Christian life. They are blessed with five children, two sons-in-law and three grandchildren.

When the current Great Commission Church International was born in April 1991, JFK was chosen as chairman of the Ghana Executive Council for twelve consecutive years while also doubling as the Apostolic Council chairman. He presently serves as General Overseer for the Church worldwide.

Together with his family, he responded to God's call to serve in Mauritania as a missionary for four years, where disciples are still carrying on the work today to God's glory.
